Thank you for using Rebal. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

The app may collect information that you enter manually, including:

• Portfolio names
• Asset holdings such as ticker, quantity, purchase price, and trade date
• Liability information such as loan name, principal, interest rate, and term
• Transaction records

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device information such as model and OS version for compatibility improvements
• Anonymous usage analytics used to improve product experience

1.3 Third-Party Market Data

The app uses Yahoo Finance to fetch market quotes. Only ticker symbols are sent for lookup. No personal information is transmitted for these requests.

1.4 Advertising Data (Free Version Only)

The free version of this app displays banner advertisements through Google AdMob. Users in the trial period and paid subscribers do not see ads, and the data described in this section is not collected from them.

When you use the free version, Google AdMob may collect the following data:

• Advertising Identifier (IDFA) — only when you select "Allow" in the system ATT prompt
• Device information: model, OS version, language, region
• Coarse location: country/city inferred from IP address
• Ad interaction data: impressions, clicks, ad performance metrics
• SKAdNetwork attribution data (Apple's privacy-preserving ad attribution mechanism)

If you select "Ask App Not to Track" in the ATT prompt, the app does not send your IDFA, but you will still see ads (non-personalized, with reduced relevance).

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

• Provide core features such as portfolio tracking and rebalance calculations
• Store your records for future review
• Sync your data across your Apple devices through iCloud when enabled
• Improve app functionality and user experience
• Display advertisements in the free version to support ongoing app development

3. Data Storage

3.1 Local Storage

Your investment data is primarily stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

3.2 iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account. That data is protected by Apple's privacy and security model, and we cannot access your iCloud content.

3.3 Server Storage

We do not upload your personal investment records to our own servers.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal investment data (portfolios, holdings, transactions, liabilities) with third parties.

Exceptions:

• Advertising services (free version only): The advertising-related data described in section 1.4 is transmitted to Google AdMob to deliver and measure ad performance. This data does not include your investment records.
• You explicitly consent
• We are required to comply with applicable law or legal process
• We need to protect our legitimate rights

5. Data Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including:

• Data stored on your device or in iCloud using Apple's security model
• No required username and password account system for the app
• No transmission of your investment holdings to our servers

6. Your Rights

You can:

• Access: view your data in the app at any time
• Correct: edit or update your data at any time
• Delete: remove portfolios, assets, and transaction records at any time
• Export: export transaction records as CSV files
• Ad tracking: change Rebal's tracking permission anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security; or upgrade to the paid version to remove ads entirely

7. Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If there are material changes, we will notify users through the app or by other appropriate means.
